Convenient location and excellent value
My wife and I met as students at Leicester University in the late 60's and were married in the city in July 1970. Sadly, in spite of many intentions to re-visit, it has taken us until Sep 2022 to return as visitors. We chose this hotel, knowing it to be not in the city centre but assuming it would be easy to find and use as a base to re-visit old haunts. And so it proved. We were able to check-in at 2 pm to find a very comfortable and spacious room with large double bed, a welcome desk and chair and a small couch for TV viewing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bounteous buffet at a very reasonable £ 10 per head, beautifully presented in the large dining area. ...

I have stayed in 3 other Holiday Inns this year and Wigston definitely shone above the rest.

Easy to find with plentiful free parking
Newly refurbished room with lovely thick carpet and clean. Friendly check in, and I slept without being disturbed at all. My room was really well appointed with large TV, fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, so I didn’t have to venture out of the room at all! It also had a lot of plug sockets in convenient places, which is always a winner for me.
It was easy to find and had plenty of free parking, so I feel worth the extra little drive for me to get there. There was a Bella Italia restaurant next to it which is very handy, but I didn’t use it so can’t comment on any food or drink offerings . I will definitely use this hotel again when I’m in the area, and would recommend.

Clean comfortable and good food
Friendly welcome from reception, clean fresh smelling room. Amazing food from restaurant lots of choices happy staff. Breakfast good quality ingredients and again friendly happy staff. Second stay in two months due to hospital appointments and second stay was just as good. Highly recommended.
Great hotel and good price
it’s a great hotel for the racing but also as a stop over. car park is free and the Bella Italian menu in the restaurant is nice. There is even BT sports is you ask for it. staff are polite and helpful. The room had a massive bed which was great, even a fridge and complimentary water which I love. The Dove toiletries are nice. The shower was fine just a bit grubby on the tiles. Hairdryer and usual TV. excellent value for the money.
Good place to sleep, have dinner and go for a run
The staff was always very attentive, the hotel is not new but it is very well maintained.
